Just One Move Movement

Seated Arm Swings

A swing and twist in your day to get your heart pumping and body moving!

Instructions

  • Sit up tall in a chair or stand with your feet flat on the ground
  • Hold your arms by your side at shoulder width, with elbows bent at 90 degrees
  • Swing one arms after another on each side as if you were walking/jogging with just your arms, while keeping your torso to face the same direction

Continue for 30-60 seconds, maintaining a steady pace and good breathing. Take a break and repeat for 1-3 rounds.

Tried the Seated Marches during my Zoom call. My knees usually lock up after 30 minutes; today I stood up and walked to the printer like a normal human. Small miracle!

Did the Wrist Circles routine before breakfast – took maybe 90 seconds – and I opened the peanut-butter jar without begging my husband for help. Zero twinges!

Today I was doing Hip Stretches on Just One Move. I was super sore before hand but now I am feeling some relief. I think I'll add this to my habit builder!
